Perhaps the most abstract of his collection, Cloutier’s interpretive works still retain many of the same themes - and all of the vigor - of his figures and landscape portraits. A fascination with shapes and a representation of movement through a still image leaps from the canvas, and rounds out a body of work distinguished by its incomparable range and diversity.
